This Douglaston kitchen went through a major renovation from the replacement of cabinetry, plumbing, fixtures, tile and paint. The space is very limited, however, the outcome of this kitchen was remarkable and our client was overjoyed with the result. The previous kitchen included a double washer/dryer but was replaced with a single combined washer/dryer which saves space and energy. The cabinetry was replaced with beautiful dark cherry wood finished cabinets. A dishwasher was added and the stove, refrigerator, and sink were replaced.

My house isn’t worth being “professionally staged”…

Even spending a mere $500 for an initial consultation should net you thousands in return and speed of sale based upon statistical data. In the previous statistics, unless the house is under 50K this argument is invalid.

Why can’t I just stage my own home?...

Home sellers are usually incapable successfully staging their own home. Why? Because our homes are like our children, we don’t always see all of its flaws. We’ve gotten used to the way it looks and in fact it is difficult emotionally to change it. If you can’t view something objectively then you are unable to market and package it effectively. This beautiful country kitchen was designed using Rutt hand-crafted cabinetry. A refrigerator is covered with cabinetry to match the rest of the kitchen. There is a prep sink located on the island with two refrigerator doors below. The island is grand enough to seat five persons for breakfeast or even a snack. The larger sink is located beneath a large window which allows for enough natural daylight to shine through the kitchen. The ten-foot ceilings allow a substantial crown moulding above the cabinets, while the glass tile back splash adds a subtle touch of color to the space.

This large eat-in kitchen was designed to incorporate the traditional theme of the entire home. The kitchen includes all the top appliances from the four-foot SubZero refrigerator to the double Wolf oven. The island in the center features a large working area with a sink on one side leaving an ample space for eating and snacking on cozy barstools on the other. A fluted pull-out spice rack on each side of the cook top is used both functionally and decoratively. Also the breakfast table, though not shown, is decorated with a handcrafted cherrywood relief. The tiling in this kitchen is also a very important detail to this kitchen from the decorative backsplash above the stove to the distressed looked tile layed on the floors.

This colonial style kitchen was designed to blend in with the architectural styling of Claire's house. Reconfiguration of the space was accomplished by removing a wall, locating windows and installing new French doors. The custom built cabinetry is made from handcrafted cherry wood with a white painted sand finish. This Kitchen is a warm and welcoming space that will be enjoyed by the owners for a very long time.

This warm contemporary bathroom contains a safari like mosaic tile on the shower walls with a more subtle beige toned tile continuing throughout the rest of the bathroom. The recessed mirror-cabinet stands very tall as it emphasizes the elongated bathroom. The fixtures from the shower head to the faucet and towel hanger are all silver. Both recessed downlighting and two wall scones are feautured in the bathroom.

The contemporary safari theme is continued throughout the kitchen of the Weiss residence. Stainless steal appliances were used and a stainless steal border was used around the upper cabinets with a frosted glass on the face of the cabinets.
